Raichu is now tired and out of juice... perfect time for Pikachu to use its Quick Attack, finish its opponent, and win the match! Lt. Surge pays his respects to Ash and Pikachu, and as proof of their victory grants them a Thunder Badge.
Satisfied with the fact that they are doing right in trying to steal Pikachu, Team Rocket also celebrates this victory as theirs, and walk into the sunset... until James realizes they spent their time in Vermilion cheering for the good guys!
