Pokémon Lovers Club Headquarters

Jenny approaches the children, and realizes that all of them firmly believe they are Pokémon; not only that, they are acting the part! Kids behaving like Weedle, like Bulbasaur, like Gloom... even one splashing in the water thinking she is a Magikarp!

The leader of the Pokémon Lovers Club suggests using Drowzee's sleep waves to counteract Hypno's power and cure the children of their "Pokénitis." The group agrees to this plan, and they return to the penthouse mansion, bringing Misty with them.

Pokémon Tower

After their out-of-body experience, Ash and Pikachu return to their physical forms, and wake up to find Misty and Brock desperately trying to revive them. The next morning, the gang leaves the Pokémon Tower, but someone else is coming along.

Haunter had so much fun with Ash and Pikachu, that it decided to come with them to Saffron City. Meanwhile Gastly and Gengar have fun with Jessie, James, and Meowth, who are forced to stay at the indoors playground entertaining the ghosts.

The Indoors Playground

After being confined in the Pokémon Tower for so long, Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar only want to have friends around with whom to share all the fun their home has to offer, like this indoor playground.

Ash tells them he's enjoyed playing tonight, but he has to leave, because he wants to fulfill his dream of becoming the world's greatest Pokémon master. Despite being saddened by this, the ghosts do not intend to retain him of Pikachu.

Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar only want to have fun.

Back in the Pokémon Tower

Ash enters the tower again, but this time, Misty and Brock are not coming with him. Haunter and Gengar start re-enacting the comedic sketches they saw on TV, but neither Ash nor Pikachu find them funny.

With their feelings hurt, the ghosts phase through the floor, and when Ash jumps to catch them, a chandelier that is barely hanging from the ceiling falls on top of him and Pikachu, making them both pass out.

The Dining Room

Ash is happy to oblige, and pulls the string. Instantly, the furniture, silverware, dishes, and even the food start floating in the air and flying in all directions. Spooked by the terrifying phenomenon, trainers and Pokémon alike evacuate the tower.

As soon as everyone leaves, the flying objects return to their proper place in the dining room, and everything is as if nothing had ever happened. Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar giggle at their practical joke.

Pokémon Tower

Guided by Charmander's flame, Ash and Pikachu enter the Pokémon Tower, begrudgingly followed by Misty and Brock. Exploring the creepy place, the gang opens the doors at the end of a long and eerie hall.

Bracing for the worst, everyone is surprised to find an elegant dining room with a huge spread, fine silverware, and a delicious banquet waiting for them. There is also a pull-string piñata with a note attached to it: "Pull This."

What is at the end of the haunted hall?

Pokémon Tower

While Ash tries to convince Misty and Brock to come with him and Pikachu into the tower, Jessie, James, and Meowth, who are already inside, spy the heroes from a window, and plot a strategy to steal Pikachu.

A Gastly suddenly appears, scaring Team Rocket, and their horror screams can be heard even outside. In another part of the tower, a Haunter and a Gengar watch sitcoms on TV, and their innocent laughter echoes through the old building like a supernatural shriek.
